It is about time I introduce you all to our newest love.
So I have a funny little story to share with you. My husband and I were very excited to meet our third baby. Labor and delivery went well, but when our little girl arrived she surprised us all. Full head of black hair and even sporting a little mohawk!!!
All of the names we had pondered over for months went flying out the window! Even though I was born with my very own little black mohawk, she really threw us for a curve. If you have seen other pictures of our children you know they both are very fair and our two year old just got hair like last week! So after 36 hours of thinking, talking and scouring the baby names book once again – we settled on Brittan. We brought her home and introduced her to all of our friends and family. Well- a few days went by …..the swelling went down on her face and she started to look like ……………a Harlow- the name we had earmarked for the last few months. So, I gently approached my husband knowing he was going to think I was absolutely crazy and probably a bit hormonal. And he did- at first talking he said I was out of my mind. However the very next morning he had a change of heart too! I couldn’t be happier…… so she grew into her name. We decided to keep Brittan as her middle name since it now is meaningful to us. I think “Brit” will stick for a nickname too!
So many of you may have met her as Brittan, but after long thought I am re- introducing her as Harlow Brittan.
I love that the weather finally broke today after the coldest start to April ever!!! So quickly ran outside to snap one before she gets too big! Here she is at 16 days old and still as peaceful as ever.
This child can sleep anywhere!
This was a first for me….so calm – even awake, she let me pose her. Finally I have a cooperative child!
Love her grin….Big sis was trying to feed her spaghetti here. I think she liked it!
love her to pieces.
So- I am apologizing in advance if I am slow getting back to you. I am busy doing this.
