small miracles | Pittsburgh Child photography

It really is an everyday miracle.

A baby to be.

Even more astonishing when two little ones are being created all at once.

For those of you that follow Munchkins and Mohawks know that weeks of preparation go into preparing a shoot- from styling to location – hair and makeup coordination. It is quite the process.

So when an unexpected need to shoot ASAP comes up- we all kick it into high gear and pull together. With the help of my lovely crew….. Beth- our amazing stylist, Lisa Johnson- beauty enhancing makeup artist, and Ashely- my right hand girl….. we made this very special session happen. Thank you.

This couple could not be more deserving of little twin babes. He just adores her- it was so fun to be around them. They exude love for each other and their two little ones. These little babies have no idea of the love that they have in store for them. Blessed kiddos for sure.

So now as mom snuggles into the hospital for the duration-we wait to meet these little ones. I am so grateful that we were able to capture this exciting time of anticipation.

So stay tuned for their debut!

A Look Back at 2011 | Pittsburgh Professional Photographer

We are ringing in the New Year here at Munchkins and Mohawks.

I have been reflecting on such a wonderful year both personally and professionally.

We welcomed our third baby into our family this past spring.

The other two-well they are pretty amazing as well!

My little guy has made amazing strides this year- we are so proud of him.

And my middle- she is just a riot! Her personality definitely bloomed this year. One of a kind for sure!

and professionally. I am doing what I absolutely love-

styled portrait commissions.

I love creating art for families.

So now- going through 2011 in review. I selected one image from each session that spoke to me- my favorites, to share with all of you.

What an impressive and inspiring body of work for the year, Tiffany! I know it’s silly, because I have nothing to do with it, but I’m so proud of you for chasing a dream and catching it – maybe cause I met you when you just had that twinkle in your eye. My absolute favorite image of yours for the year is your blog header, but from these it’s a toss up between #5-swing (adore everything about it – it’s perfection) and #26-hats (love these girls and the styling and simplicity of the shot – reminds me of my sister and i as kids, romping around the countryside in sundresses). #33 Bathtime is my favorite image because I used to wash my babies in the kitchen sink when they were little. They are all grown up now and my girls are actually wedding photographers…but they say that no one photographs babies the way that you do. Happy New Year Munchkins and Mohawks fans.

We had a great holiday here. Got some much needed rest and relaxation and are ready to welcome all the good that 2012 has to offer!

I am looking forward to photographing some new faces and lots of familiar ones too!

You may recognize this familiar face from his newborn shoot. Well- 16 months later little brother has made his grand entrance…..late I might add! ( Poor momma!)

There was lots of blood, sweat and tears to get this shot! Well- maybe not blood, but hey the sweat part for sure!

Cousin joined us for part of the session- man he was such an awesome helper!

And all cuddled up and pooped out from the business of the day. Let’s hope he stayed that way for a while for mom.

This last session of 2011 was a great way to end the year.

Here is to a blessed year for all!
