Going into this session I had every right to be nervous. Four year old- two year old- and one month old….and ALL BOYS!!!
So to my surprise when I arrived at their beautiful home there was a wonderful sense of calm. No karate chopping- no crashing cars- no screaming!!! WHAT?! This couldn’t be?!!
It was.
Our day was fun- peaceful- and made me want to hang out with this family all the time. These three little boys are so blessed to have been born into such a great place. Well done mom& dad.
Not only was mom calm and serene, but she was just gorgeous. I swear this image below looks like she was ripped out of the pages of Parents Magazine.
Then outside to play we went.
More fun times
And mission impossible shot!
Think my job is pretty glamorous, huh? I get to shoot amazingly beautiful people, impeccably dressed, with their adorable children. It is pretty amazing.
Glamorous, though, I am not so sure. Most of the time I can be spotted in yoga pants with Hunter boot and a harmonica hanging out of my mouth. Then there is the sneezing things off my head, sifting through tall grasses, and laying in the snow. Buuut-
when you get a shot like this it makes it all worth it!!!
I am sooo in love with this image : – )
And isn’t she just the prettiest little princess.
My favorite little crowns from If the Crown Fits
She really liked me when I stripped her down and let her roll around on the floor. It is so fun to see then learning lots of new tricks. Every time I would put her on her belly she would roll on back over. It was so cute! Plus she was really proud!
And little miss and her dad. She’s got his heart already.
But seriously, this family was GORG!!!!!
I really do have the best job in the world. I hope your images make you as happy as they do me !
~ENJOY~

Sixty….seconds that is. It all started a few days back when the snow began. It was really coming down. We haven’t had much around here which is not the norm. Actually can you believe I haven’t shot in the snow at all this season yet! So this was a must do! Off to the closet I went to see what we could whip together. Tone on tone- I knew that much . I really try to pay attention to keeping tonal harmony in my images. I love texture too and layering- so there ya have it. Some fur- brocade- and lace….crown that is. You probably have noticed I shoot a lot with these beautiful crowns. Well- I think everyone should feel like royalty plus it is super fun!
If The Crown Fits is a beautiful little shop with all sorts of pretties for you princess. Clothes- check, snow- check, crown- check, happy child- well……..
Really it was pretty much over before it started. See that shot near the end of the set. Yep- that is my baby girl throwing really cold and wet snow. It was all down hill from there. The stinging pain of frostbitten hands pretty much stinks more than anything
That’s it.
Wait- I lied. That wasn’t it. I was pretty discouraged by the screeches of my sweet girl, that when one of my best friends Taryn, from Blu Hippo Photography, came over she insisted that I go jump into some clothes and get in there. How convenient to have a BFF be a photog ; – ) Since my girlie was still dressed and the baby had woken up game was on. At least for another 60 seconds.

Happy New Year Munchkins and Mohawks fans.
We had a great holiday here. Got some much needed rest and relaxation and are ready to welcome all the good that 2012 has to offer!
Make sure you check back for “The Best of 2011″ blog post coming soon. We will be giving away some cool stuff for the winners!
I am looking forward to photographing some new faces and lots of familiar ones too!
You may recognize this familiar face from his newborn shoot. Well- 16 months later little brother has made his grand entrance…..late I might add! ( Poor momma!)
There was lots of blood, sweat and tears to get this shot! Well- maybe not blood, but hey the sweat part for sure!
Cousin joined us for part of the session- man he was such an awesome helper!
And all cuddled up and pooped out from the business of the day. Let’s hope he stayed that way for a while for mom.
This last session of 2011 was a great way to end the year.
Here is to a blessed year for all!
Welcome 2012
