My language is normally expressed in the visuals that I create. So for the last 31,536,000 seconds I have not been able to find the words to talk about our life now. I still can’t, but for the sake of our children, I’ll try.

How many days, seconds, moments, have passed since my children’s father left this world. All of the things they knew and trusted ….stripped away. Navigating a new world, without dad. Missed birthdays, milestones, holidays, football games, Dads and donuts and just regular old Sundays.

The pain that surrounds is unfathomable. There are days when it actually takes my breath away. Behind my smile is a girls full of tears, fear, and strength. I keep moving on, wondering when the pain will lessen. People keep saying that “time heals all wounds”, but I’m still waiting.

You would be proud of them. They have been strong. They are also broke, but together we are putting ourselves back together. Their little hearts are full of happy memories and love for you. I will continue to carry on. We will not only survive, but thrive. They want to make you proud of who they are becoming.

Just a reminder Bud, they love you to the moon and back.

This Colorado Springs, Colorado workshop was no different. Two fun days of shooting and creating were had.

Everything about California is just so magical….. The forests, the kiddos, the designers- Ahhhh. I’m in love!!!

This beautiful images was made in Marin County, outside of San Francisco, California. I can’t help but think it was all in a fairytale.

A fairy went a-marketing -
She bought a little fish;
She put it in a crystal bowl
Upon a golden dish.
An hour she sat in wonderment
And watched its silver gleam,
And then she gently took it up
And slipped it in a stream.

A fairy went a-marketing -
She bought a coloured bird;
It sang the sweetest, shrillest song
That ever she had heard.
She sat beside its painted cage
And listened half the day,
And then she opened wide the door
And let it fly away.

A fairy went a-marketing -
She bought a winter gown
All stitched about with gossamer
And lined with thistledown.
She wore it all the afternoon
With prancing and delight,
Then gave it to a little frog
To keep him warm at night.

A fairy went a-marketing -
She bought a gentle mouse
To take her tiny messages,
To keep her tiny house.
All day she kept its busy feet
Pit-patting to and fro,
And then she kissed its silken ears,
Thanked it, and let it go.

I love making pretty pictures in the New York City, but I also love finding gems outside the city limits. We found this adorable little lavender field an hour outside of NYC.

I kinda love to see kids being kids in wide open spaces. Plus I really really want my very own lavender farm….so you could say I was in my glory!

Oh boy…I should totally not quit my day job! My little girls wanted to help me work- so I had them help me make up a rhyme for the blog!

So seriously…..could they not be more photogenic? I love making beautiful images and even better, making beautiful memories. Someone pinch me.

My love for New York grows with each image we make here. The vibe of the city is just magic. I am always in wonder of the little gems you find on the streets of NYC. I’m totally obsessed with these beautiful ladies. Creating a concept for this set was totally my cup of tea…… from Chanel to Versace to Hermes, I mean!!!! We decided to style this set with bold blacks. I wanted a city feel to the images and what better color represents New Yorkers I don’t know how this amazing mom balances it all, but she does it with grace and style. I think we captured her NYC spirit perfectly. …..always blessed to have our NYC families let us make memories with them! Book your NYC Session HERE
